This Proverb says, “He who walks blamelessly will be delivered, but he who is crooked will fall all at once.” What does it mean to walk blamelessly? It means that a person walks or lives without doing wrong things. From a Biblical perspective that means to avoid sinful behavior.

The Bible clearly defines sinful behavior. It also defines the consequences of sinful behavior. Our creator, God, hates sinful behavior. God is Holy, and He cannot and will not coexist with sin.

Unfortunately, we humans all have a natural tendency to sin. It takes a desire and conscious effort to avoid sin. So, we are not naturally motivated to resist sinful behavior. We are not motivated until God gives us that motivation.

God motivates us as a father motivates his children to be obedient. He disciplines us for our disobedience. He disciplines us for our sinful behavior. When God does this, some are motivated to change. Unfortunately, not all people are so motivated.

Some people are given over to sin. They reject God. They refused to believe in God, even though the world around them confirms that God exists. Why do they reject this obvious Truth? They reject God because they know that belief in God will make them accountable to God. They think that their disbelief will remove accountability. Unfortunately for them, it won’t.

As this Proverb indicates, the crooked, those given over to sin, will fall all at once. God will destroy them, and they will spend eternity in Hell.

Those who walk blamelessly in this life will not fall. They will be allowed into Heaven where they will experience love, joy, and happiness forever.
