This Proverb says, “Like snow in summer and like rain in harvest, so honor is not fitting for a fool.” Who or what is a fool? The Bible describes a fool as follows: “The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.” A fool is a person who does not believe in God. A fool is a person who does not believe that God exists.
The Bible says that evidence of God is clearly displayed in the creation around us. The process that brought life to the Earth can only be explained by the existence of a Creator. The processes that sustain life can only be explained by the existence of a Creator.
The theory of evolution cannot explain life or the processes that sustain life. However, many people believe in the theory of evolution. Why is that the case? Simply put, many people don’t want to give up their sinful lives. They don’t want to believe in God because then they would be accountable for their sins.
Therefore, the world is overpopulated with fools. They are all around us. They have powerful positions in governments, and the world bestows honor on them. However, as the this Proverb states, honor is not fitting for them. Rather they are deserving of disdain. God will judge them one day and most likely will not bestow honor upon them. Rather, they will likely receive eternal misery and pain.
