This Proverb says, “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.

Analyzing this Proverb leads to a discussion about what is righteous and what is wicked. America today is divided over this perspective. Each group views the other as evil and holds themselves to be righteous. Which group is right? Who sets the standard for righteousness and evil? I believe that God sets the standard.

The Word of God clearly defines what is right and what is evil. For example, the Bible says that murder is wrong. Abortion is murder. Therefore abortion is an evil act. The Bible also says that committing homosexual acts is wrong. Doing so is wicked in God’s eyes. Furthermore, the Bible tells us that distorting justice for political gain is wrong. God considers all of these examples to be wrong or wicked. Therefore it is right to say that God condemns those who do these things.

Given this information, we should consider which group in America supports wicked acts and which group does not. I believe that one can easily come to the right conclusion.

I think it would be wise to hold to the same viewpoint as God. Our eternal destination will depend on it.
