This Proverb says, “I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and I find knowledge and discretion. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and every evil way, and the perverted mouth I hate.”
The Bible says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” The Bible also says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” Knowledge and wisdom are intertwined in that wisdom is having the ability to properly apply knowledge.
One cannot have wisdom unless they believe in God. Believing in God will lead a person down a path that rejects or hates evil. It will also lead a person to be humble before God and before other people. True belief in God will also lead a person to have a hunger for the Word of God.
True belief will provide strong motivation to know and obey God. A person cannot know God and know how to obey God without reading the Word of God, the Bible. The Bible is therefore essential for a person who truly loves God.
The Bible says that we are to love God with all our heart, with all our strength, with all our soul, and with all our mind. The only evidence of this love is to obey God and live according to the word of God.
Therefore, if we truly love God, the Bible will be an essential part of our daily life. Then, we will gain knowledge and wisdom to live rightly before God. More importantly we will be on the path that will lead us to Heaven after we die.
