This Proverb says, “It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, and He adds no sorrow to it.”
It is the Lord who provides all things in our life. Nothing happens without God either causing it or allowing it to happen. The Bible says that God sanctifies or shapes those who will be with Him in Heaven for all eternity.
Those who respond favorably to God’s instructions and guidance are rewarded. Those who don’t are chastised so that they will live rightly before Him. God’s rewards are characterized as blessings.
God blesses us physically and spiritually. He also blesses us in our relationships with others. When God blesses us we may gain material wealth. More importantly we will gain spiritual wealth. We will gain the ability to understand God’s Word and know how to apply it in our lives.
When we understand God’s Word and apply God’s Word with wisdom, our spiritual wealth will grow. The Bible says that ‘those who have will be given more.’ Our Faith will grow, and we will be firmly established on the path that leads to Heaven. Indeed, God will add no sorrow to such wealth.
