This Proverb says, “The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the Lord.” As believers we will face a spiritual battle when we choose to live our lives according to the Word of God. Satan and his demonic following will try to derail us from living rightly before God. This spiritual battle will intensify as the end times approach. Therefore, we must prepare ourselves to stand against evil.
The Bible tells us how to stand against this evil. It says we must put on the spiritual armor of God. The Bible says the following: “Therefore, take up the full armor of God that you may be able to resist the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness. And having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. And to take up the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God.”
The key to being prepared to stand against evil is to be well armed with God’s Truth. The Bible is essential to successfully stand against evil. It is our only defense. It is our only hope.
