This Proverb states, “He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord.” As this Proverb says, a wife is a blessing from God.
Sharing one’s life with a spouse is far better than living alone. Shared experiences are more rich when shared with someone you love. Additionally, man is incomplete when alone. A wife completes him physically and emotionally.
Usually, a wife possesses qualities that the husband does not have. A man therefore learns things that he needs to learn from his wife. This makes the man a better person.
A wife also provides emotional support for a man. When a man becomes discouraged or down in the dumps, a wife is there to comfort him. A wife also will encourage her husband so that he is able to proceed with his life.
Having a wife also enables a man to have children. The Bible says that children are a blessing for a man and his wife. Children enrich a person’s life. Children also provide support and companionship for their parents in their old age.
I have personally found that having a wife for more than 50 years has produced many blessings in my life. I am truly grateful that God provided a wonderful wife for me.
