This Proverb says, “The execution of justice is joy for the righteous, but terror for the workers of iniquity.” Righteous people desire to live in a just society with leaders that promote goodness and order. However, those who are given over to evil do not want a just society. They want a society that does not punish criminals. They want leaders who promote sinful living. Unfortunately, America has changed into a society that is trending toward evil.
America used to be a just and good country. Laws were enforced, and judges ruled fairly. However, America has changed into a society that does not promote justice. Criminals are set free, and good people are imprisoned. Justices have become corrupt and biased toward evil because they themselves are evil. Why has this happened?
I believe that America has turned away from being a good and righteous country because America has forsaken God. In 1962 the Supreme Court ruled that prayer in schools was illegal. In that single act, America officially rejected God. Since 1962 America has moved away from God. As a result God has moved away from America. Our families, our schools, and our society have degraded dramatically.
The Bible indicates that this moral decline will continue until America is destroyed. The good news, though, is that Jesus will return and restore justice and order. It will be a time of joy for the righteous and terror for the workers of iniquity.
