This Proverb says, “There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” The Bible says that the Gospel, God’s plan for Salvation, is ‘foolishness to the Greeks and a stumbling block to the Jews.’ God’s plan for the redemption of mankind is not logical. It doesn’t make sense to the analytical mind.
God’s plan for Salvation was to sacrifice His Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for the sins of the world. Jesus’ shed blood would atone for the sins of those who believe in Him. To believe this message takes Faith that God is real. It takes Faith to believe that God’s Word is true. It takes Faith to believe that Jesus is the only way to Salvation. Unfortunately, It is a message that doesn’t seem right to most people.
Most people follow the way of this world. That way seems logical to most people. That way is the way that follows mankind’s natural and sinful desires.
The Bible says that Satan is the spiritual ruler of the Earth. He has a myriad of demons who follow him. Their purpose is to turn people from belief in God and conform their lives to the world’s ways. Satan has been very successful in his efforts.
Unfortunately, the way of the world is contrary to God’s ways. The way of the world will keep people from belief in God that leads to life. The way of the world may seem right. Unfortunately, it will lead people to eternal spiritual death in Hell.
