This Proverb says, “The way of the Lord is a stronghold to the upright, but ruin to the workers of iniquity. The righteous will never be shaken, but the wicked will not dwell in the land.”
The Bible indicates that the way of the Lord is justice and righteousness. The Lord is just in His dealings with mankind. He is fair and impartial with everybody and treats them accordingly to their own behavior.
The righteous people are those who obey God and live their lives according to God’s guidance in His Word. Therefore, God blesses them as they deserve. Their lives are grounded in Truth, and God protects them from evil.
The wicked reject God and His guidance. They turn away from the Word of God and live according to their own sinful desires. Therefore, their lives are on unstable foundations, and they will experience ruin. If they persist in their behavior, they will be completely destroyed.
As this Proverb indicates, the righteous will never be shaken. God’s guidance and blessings will protect them, and their path of living will result in Eternal Life. They will go to Heaven and be with God forever in paradise. Being righteous produces far better results than being wicked.
