These passages define the land allocated to the tribe of Judah. Judah was given a large plot of land because of Judah’s large population. Also listed in these passages are the cities that would be occupied by Judah: 89 cities in all.
It struck me this morning that the land given to Israel was already developed. Israel acquired cities, livestock, and land that was already producing crops. They did not have to build anything. God indeed blessed Israel after Israel demonstrated their Faith and obedience to God in destroying the indigenous population.
God will also bless us when we obey Him and walk according to His Word, the Bible. This is not always easy because world’s values are contrary to God’s values. However, God’s way is always the right way. Our lives will be far better when we do it God’s way.
