In this daily Bible reading Moses prophesies about the future of Israel. Some of his prophecy supports the notion that Britain and America have their roots in Israel, specifically in the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh. Moses’ prophecy says that Joseph’s offspring would be given the choicest land on the Earth and would overpower the other nations.
Moses referred the ten-thousands of Ephraim and the thousands of Manasseh. At one time the British Empire spanned the globe and was great. Then, America became powerful. I believe Ephraim became Britain, and Manasseh became America. There are many secular sources that support the notion that Britain’s and America’s roots are in Israel.
The Bible says that nations would be blessed through the ‘seed of Abraham.’ England and America have certainly been blessed. They have both prospered and have been a positive influence in the world.
Both England and America embraced Christianity in their early years. However their reliance on Christian principles has waned over the years. I would say that today, neither country relies on Christian principles: and many do not even believe in God.
God severely punished Israel for turning away from Him. It is reasonable to assume God will remove His blessings from America and England. I think we see this happening now with the erosion of families and lawlessness increasing. Turning back to God is the only action that will stop the erosion and prevent total destruction.
