This Psalm was written by Moses who led Israel out of bondage in Egypt. Moses speaks of God who protects those who trust in God. God protects those who trust in Him from evil and harm.
Those who trust in God do not fear. They know that God is in control of all things. However, those who do not believe or trust in God fear many things.
The Covid pandemic was very revealing in this regard. Those who lived their lives trusting in God for protection were not fearful. They wore masks out of courtesy to others. Those who did not trust God wore masks because of their great fear. Those who trusted in God refused taking the experimental vaccines. Those who did not trust God took the vaccines and many booster shots.
Trusting in God is a very liberating experience. Knowing God is in control removes anxiety. Trials may come. However, knowing that God is in control helps us through those trials.
