In this Psalm King David expresses his sorrow because of his adversaries. David was grieving. He felt helpless and did not want to proceed. He did not perceive that God was helping him. However, David knew in his heart that God would help. He knew that God had not abandoned him, but David was still experiencing grief and sorrow.
In like manner, believers may go through difficult periods of time when they do not feel God’s presence. They may pray or call out to God for help. However, they may not perceive any response. It is during these times that believers must not give up. They must be even more determined to put their trust in God.
Bible says,” Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” God will not abandon those who put their trust in Him.
