In this Psalm King David again writes of the benefits of trusting God. There were those who plotted to harm David. David appealed for God’s help. David said of his enemies, “By their own desires let them fall.” When a person truly trusts in God, God will protect them from harm. Those who plot and scheme against such people will frequently fall into their own traps.
Speaking to God David correctly observed, “For it is Thou who dost bless the righteous man, O Lord. Thou dost surround him with favor as with a shield.”
A time is coming when those who believe in Jesus and trust in God will be persecuted. The Bible says that in the end times believers will be persecuted unto death. During that time believers must totally trust in God for help. Many believers will be killed for their Faith. However, after they die, they will enter paradise and be with God forever.
