This Psalm continues to prophecy about Jesus. It finishes with a prophecy of Jesus’ future return to the Earth. When Jesus returns, all people will come to know and serve Him. The Psalmist writes, “All the families of the nations will worship before Thee, for the Kingdom is the Lord’s and He rules over the nations.”
When Jesus first came to the Earth the world despised Him. The world rejected Jesus and murdered Him. The world did not realize who He really was. When Jesus returns to the Earth all people will know Him. They will learn from Him, and they will worship Him.
Jesus will return to be King. He will rule the Earth for 1000 years. The Bible says at the end of this 1000 year or ‘Millennial’ rule, those who have not believed in Jesus will stand before God for the ‘final throne judgment.’
God will judge the living and dead. He will select those who will reside in Heaven with Him. The Bible says that the rest will be cast into Hell. The Bible also says that those who believed in Jesus while they were alive will not have to face God’s final judgment.
