This Psalm continues to praise God. It also reaffirms that God will care for and protect those who He considers His, those who are characterized as godly. God will save them from eternal destruction.

Additionally, this Psalm speaks of God’s people judging the nations of the world that rejected God and were given over to sin.

In this regard the Psalmist writes, “Let the Godly ones exult in Glory; them sing for joy on their beds. Let the highest praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations; and punishment on the peoples; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron. To execute on them the judgment written. This is an honor for His godly ones. Praise the Lord!”

The Bible says that Jesus will return to the Earth one day. He will rule as King. He will also be the spiritual ruler of the Earth, replacing Satan. Jesus will eradicate sin. Many sinful people will be killed.

The Bible says that Jesus’ government will be composed of those who believed in Jesus during their lives on Earth. These believers will judge the nations that are not destroyed when Jesus returns. The Bible says that believers will also judge the angels who rebelled against God.

Under Jesus rule and government, the world will become a place characterized by justice and righteousness. Those who delight in such an atmosphere will fit in nicely. Those who do not love justice and righteousness will be judged and removed.

These truths may be difficult for some to understand and accept. However, they are God’s Truths, and they will happen. That is certainly worth considering when deciding which path in life to take.
