In this Psalm King David speaks of God being near to those who fear God and rely on God for help in their lives. David says, “The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him and Truth. He will fulfill the desires of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and save them.”
As this passage says, the Lord is near to those who call upon Him in Truth. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the embodiment of the Truth. Therefore, God is near to those who believe in Jesus Christ.
Jesus said to His disciples, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through Me.” There is no access to God except through Jesus.
The Bible says that Jesus is the living Word of God. The Bible is the Word of God. Unless we believe in the Word of God, that it is the Truth we cannot draw near to God. Therefore, we must read the Bible in order to understand God’s Truths and to draw near to God. God will then bless us and guide us. We will then be on the path that leads to Heaven.
