This Psalm speaks of God’s forgiveness of our sins. It says, “If the Lord should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with Thee that Thou mayest be feared. I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, and in His Word I hope.”
Sinning is a really bad thing in the eyes of God. God is Holy and cannot dwell with sin. If God judged us for our sins no person would survive. We would all be condemned to an eternity in misery and pain.
The Bible says that all people sin. ‘No one is righteous. No, not one.’ However, God loves us. Because He loves us, He provided a way for us to be with Him. He provided a way for us to be forgiven of our sins. That way is Jesus Christ.
The Bible says, “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
Incredibly, God sacrificed His own Son for our Salvation. If we believe in Jesus, then our sins will be forgiven. God will not see us as sinners, and we will be allowed to be with God in paradise forever. That is a really good thing. I choose to believe in Jesus. So should you.
