This Psalm speaks of blessings that a person receives when he or she fears the Lord and walks in His ways. The writer says, “How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways. When you shall eat the fruit of your hands, you will be happy, and it will be well with you.”
During our lifetime we may be blessed with possessions and family. That is a good thing. However, it is only good if one enjoys what he or she acquires. There are wealthy people in this world who have many possessions. However, many of these people don’t use or enjoy what they have. They simply accumulate wealth and possessions. Having wealth and possessions is not good if our one doesn’t enjoy what one has.
Having the ability to enjoy what one has acquired is something that God grants to those who obey Him and walk in His ways. Whether we have much or little, it is a blessing to be able to enjoy what we have. It is a gift from God.
