This Proverb says, “He who conceals hatred has lying lips, and he who spreads slander is a fool.” This Proverb identifies how a fool deals with hatred of other people. A fool lacks wisdom and will respond to his hatred for another by slandering them. In other words, the fool will make false statements about a person they hate so as to damage that person’s reputation.

On the other hand, a wise person will handle his or her dislike for another person in another way. A wise person will not resort to lying about another person to damage that person’s reputation. A wise person will not act or speak without thinking. A wise person will act or speak according to God’s guidance.

We will all dislike, and at times, hate another person for who they are or what they might have done to offend us or others. We must learn to deal with that dislike in a prudent manner.

It is also important that we do not try to get other people to share our hatred. We should rather pray for God’s guidance in dealing with our dislike for another.

if we discuss our dislike for another person with a friend or family, our discussions must not be in a gossiping or slanderous manner. As believers we should seek to heal rather than destroy. We should always strive for positive outcomes.
