In these passages, Jesus tells the disciples about the end times and His glorious return to the earth. Jesus tells them that deception will increase, and many will claim to be Jesus. Those susceptible to deception will be pulled away from God’s Truths and be rightly judged in the end.
Jesus also affirms that true believers will be persecuted and killed. They will be turned over to authorities even by close family members.
Jesus previously said that He did not come to bring peace but division: Father against son, husband against wife, brother against sister. Jesus also said that true believers will be hated and ostracized.
There is only one way to prepare for such a terrible time. One must be firmly anchored in the Bible and have unwavering Faith in Jesus Christ.
