In this daily Bible reading, speaking of Israel, God says through Jeremiah, ”I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me and by which they have transgressed against Me.” The Bible says that we are cleansed of our sins when we believe in Jesus Christ.
When Jesus Christ returns, Israel will believe in Him. I think that some in Israel will believe before Jesus returns. However, most will believe after Jesus returns to be their King. God’s abundant mercy will give Israel and the world a 1000-year opportunity to believe in Jesus Christ.
The Bible says that during this 1000 year period, Satan will be bound. He will not be allowed to influence or deceive people to turn away from the Truth. However, at the end of 1000 years, Satan will be released. He will be allowed to deceive those who will be deceived.
After a final cleansing of sin will come the ‘great throne judgment of God’ to determine who will go to Heaven and who will go to Hell. The people who go to Hell will be without excuse because they will have been given ample opportunity to believe in Jesus Christ. They will only have themselves to blame. That is true today. Those who don’t believe only have themselves to blame.
