In this daily Bible reading the angel, Gabriel, continues to give Daniel details about the end times. He describes the rise of an influential and powerful person who will occupy Jerusalem. This person will desecrate the Temple with abominable sacrifices. He will actively turn people away from God and nullify the Word of God. Many will follow him. However, a few will still believe the Word of God and stand for the Truth.
The Bible says that ‘those who have insight among the people will give understanding to the many.’ The Bible also says that some of those with insight will be killed when they stand for the Truth. However, the Bible also says that Jesus Christ will return to establish His Kingdom. He will destroy those who have desecrated the Jerusalem Temple and turned people away from God.
The Bible also says that those who were killed for defending the Word of God will be raised from the dead to serve with Jesus in His Kingdom. I believe that the times of which the angel Gabriel spoke to Daniel are not far off. I believe they will happen during my lifetime, and I am in my 70s.
