This Proverb says, “The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; The foundation of wisdom is a bubbling brook.” A person’s words reflect their heart. Their words reflect the foundation of who they are and what they believe. If their heart is righteous, their words will reflect wisdom and understanding. However, if their heart is wicked, their words will be reflect foolishness and be harmful to others.
In a larger sense, the foundation of a person’s life will be reflected in their thoughts, words, and deeds. If God and God’s Word are the foundation of a person’s life, what they think say or do will reflect this. Their thoughts will be wholesome, and their words will be wise. Furthermore, their deeds will be beneficial for themselves, their families and the people around them.
On the other hand, a person who does not believe in God and live according to the Word of God will not have such stability or success. Their thoughts will be tend toward evil. So, their words will be harmful or useless. Their deeds will cause destruction and chaos for themselves, their families and other people around them.
It is far better to live one’s life having strong foundation of God and His Word. Such a life will tend toward contentment and success. Such a life will please God and enable the person to enter Heaven after they die.
