Romans 13:1-14

In this daily Bible reading Paul tells the people to love their neighbors. Loving one’s neighbor is the fulfillment of God’s law which tells us not commit adultery, murder, steal or covet.

God’s 10 Commandments can be summed up in two commandments that tell us to love. The first is “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your mind, with all your strength, and with all your soul.” The second is “love your neighbor as yourself.”

The Bible says there are three things that will endure forever: “Faith, Hope, and Love. And the greatest of these is love.” God places much value on love. In fact the Bible says ‘God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son,’ Jesus, to die for us on the cross.

It was God’s love for us that gave us the only path to Salvation. It is our love for God that will keep us on the ‘Salvation pathway’ and lead us to Heaven.
