In this daily Bible reading Paul writes to the Roman believers to strengthen their Faith. Paul told them this very important message: “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from Faith to Faith; as it is written, “But the righteous man shall live by Faith.””
In his letter Paul gives further clarification to the meeting of the Gospel message. The Gospel message identifies Jesus Christ as our Savior because of His sacrificial death on the cross. Jesus’ shed blood atones for our sins, if we believe in Him.
Our belief is evidenced by our trust in Jesus. Our trust is manifested by our living according to the Word of God, because the Bible says that Jesus is the living Word of God. We have Faith that the Word of God is Truth and live according to the Bible’s instructions.
Paul’s passage says that God’s righteousness is revealed to us as we live by Faith in His Word. In other words we are blessed by God as we live according to the Bible’s guidance.
Paul’s message finishes with the key to a successful life. ”But the righteous man shall live by Faith.” That must be our daily mindset as we navigate the trials of life. The Bible says, “Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Indeed, He will. Praise God!
