In this Psalm the writer speaks of being blessed when one lives life trusting in God. The writer says, “How blessed is the man who trusts in Thee.” The writer also says, “No good thing does He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
When we trust in God, that trust is evidenced by the lives we lead. We live our lives according to the Word of God, the Bible. We resist sinning and fight temptations. Additionally, we seek to please God rather than mankind. When we so live, God blesses us with the things He considers to be good for us.
The Bible says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Without God in our lives the desires of our heart may be for things that will be bad for us. However, when we delight ourselves with God and His Word, the desires of our heart will be for things that God approves. Therefore, He will grant us those desires.
Living our lives trusting the Lord is indeed a good way to live. Our lives will be blessed with good health and prosperity. More importantly, after we die, we will spend eternity in paradise with God.
