In this Psalm are many pearls of wisdom. The following verses are two of them: “Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.” “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
Faithfulness or Faith is something that must be cultivated. Developing Faith in God is a lifelong process. As we live our lives with the Word of God as our guide, our Faith in God will grow. With every event in our lives, we will witness God’s help. We will learn to place more and more trust in God.
The Bible says, “The righteous man will live by Faith.” It also says that without Faith it is impossible to please God. It truly is the best way to live, and it finds favor with God. We will truly delight in the Lord.
When we delight ourselves in the Lord, God will give us what we desire in our hearts. The desire of our hearts will then be for the things that God approves.
