In this Psalm David speaks of the value of believing in and living according to God’s commandments and precepts. David says, “By them thy servant is warned. In keeping them there is great reward.” David also says of God’s commandments, “They are more desirable than gold.”
Indeed, living according to God’s guidance is way more valuable than gold or wealth. God’s guidance will produce results that are far more beneficial than what money can buy.
Living one’s life according to God’s guidance will result in a life characterized by love, joy, and peace. Anxiety and fear depart and are replaced by comfort. These are the benefits of trusting God and living according to His Word.
The Bible says that God wants us to trust in Him totally. When we do that, God will reward us. Our lives will be rich and full when we realize and acknowledge that God is in control of our lives, and we place our lives in His hands.
