In this Psalm David writes of God’s assistance as David fought his enemies. Because David trusted God, God helped David gain victories. David observed that as he was defeating his enemies, David’s enemies would also call out to God for help. However, God did not help them. God did not answer their prayers.
This brings up an interesting point. Does God hear all prayers? The Bible indicates that God will not hear the prayers of those who are given over to sin. However, God will hear and answer the prayers of the righteous. The Bible says, “The prayers of the righteous man avails much.” God always hears the prayers of a righteous person.
A righteous person is one who lives his or her life in accordance with the Word of God, the Bible. When a righteous person prays, their prayer is usually in accordance with what the Bible teaches.
The Bible says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will grant you the desires of your heart.” The key here is that your you must first delight yourself in the Lord. Then your prayers will be heard.
