This Proverb says, “The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the dwelling of the righteous.” it is a recurring theme in the Bible that God will bless those who live by the Word of God. The Bible says that living by the Word of God will result in good health and prosperity.
The Bible says, “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers. But his delight is in the Lord. And in His law he meditates day and night. In whatever he does he prospers.”
Living one’s life by the Word of God will indeed result in God’s blessings. However, living rightly before God is not easy to do in this world. This is because world’s values are contrary to what the Bible teaches. Therefore, living by the Word of God is like swimming upstream against the current. It takes spiritual strength and perseverance. It requires endurance. It requires a strong Faith in God.
A person who lives by God’s Word will face opposition from the people around them who do not believe. This may include family members.
Therefore, if a person desires to live by God’s Word, they should expect the world’s criticism and persecutions. However, the Bible says that God will help those who obey Him. God will help them through difficult times and will bless them.
