This Proverb says, “The crucible is for silver and the furnace for gold, and a man is tested by the praise accorded him.” The Bible says that believers will be tested during their lives. God will test believers to determine if their Faith is genuine. Some tests will involve hardships. God will see if we turn to Him for help during those hardships. He will also see if we trust Him for solutions to our hardships.
God will also test us for pride. He may provide us with fame and fortune. When this happens do we give God the credit, or do we take it for ourselves? Do we become prideful and give credit to ourselves. Do we brag about our fame and fortune?
The Bible says that God hates pride above all other sins. He wants us to be humble at all times. We should not brag about our accomplishments and successes. Rather we should give God the credit and praise Him.
God created each of us and bestowed us with gifts and talents. We must use our gifts and talents for God’s glory. We should always realize the source of our skills and talents and praise God for them.
The Bible says that God desires our praise. God is worthy of our praise. We should praise God for who He is and for what He has accomplished. And we should always thank Him for what He has given to us.
