This Proverb says, “Have I not written to you excellent things of counsels and knowledge to make you know the certainty of the words of Truth that you make correctly answer to him who sent you?” The key phrase in this Proverb is ‘the certainty of the words of Truth.’ Truth is a sure anchor. We can count on the truth. Truth will not fail us.
God’s Word is Truth. We can count on God’s Word as sure guidance for us. If we rely on God’s Word to help us make our decisions, we will make good decisions. We will make decisions that will provide reliable and enduring solutions for our lives.
Sometimes we may not be able to perceive the outcome of the decisions we make. However, we can be certain that the outcome will be favorable when we base our decisions on God’s Truth.
In some situations making decisions based on God’s Truth is not easy. Frequently the right choices are not the easiest choices. A good example of this is regarding abortion.
God’s Truth says that murder is wrong. Abortion is murder. There is no way around it. Therefore, the right decision is to reject abortion. This is not easy an easy decision. However, it is the right decision. It is a decision that will produce the best results. It will lead to blessings,. God will indeed bless the person who rejects abortion and chooses life.
