This Proverb continues to expound the benefits of having wisdom. It specifically identifies that which will keep a man from being seduced by an adulteress woman. Giving into one’s temptation and committing adultery will lead a person to destruction. This Proverb says, “None who go to her return again nor do they reach the path of life.”
However, those who have wisdom will resist temptation to commit adultery. This Proverb further says, “So you will walk in the way of good men and keep to the path of the righteous. For the upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it. But the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be uprooted from it.”
The Bible says that when Jesus returns to the Earth he will separate the ‘wheat from the chaff.’ The ‘wheat’ will be allowed into Jesus’ Heavenly Kingdom. However, the ‘chaff’ will be cast into ‘outer darkness.’ Those who have lived their lives according to the Word of God will be identified as ‘wheat.’ Those who have rejected the Word of God will be identified as ‘chaff.’ We should consider this Truth carefully as we make our decisions in life.
