This Proverb says, “It is also not good to fine the righteous, nor to strike the noble for their uprightness.”

This passage is speaking about the miscarriage of justice. It speaks of punishing those who have done no wrong; those who have actually done what is right. Doing so is not a good thing for society. It is destabilizing. More importantly it is does not find favor with God.

We are now witnessing such miscarriages of justice in America’s society. The American justice system has been weaponized from the top down. It is being used to control political opponents, so that they cannot win elections.

We have seen people who have been put in jail for peacefully demonstrating or expressing dissatisfaction with governmental misconduct. Additionally, Some people are being persecuted for merely expressing dissatisfaction with governmental abuse.

It appears that things are getting worse. The Bible says that the world will experience a seven year period of ‘tribulation’ prior to Jesus’ returned to the Earth. Unjust persecutions will increase. Oppression will increase. Conflict will increase.

The final three and one-half years of the period of tribulation will be called the ‘Great Tribulation.’ It will be characterized by mass destruction and wars. The good news is that Jesus will return and put an end to this catastrophe.

Jesus will then rule the Earth as King. I believe we are witnessing the beginning of the ‘tribulation’ period. Jesus’ return is not far off. That is good news indeed.
