These passages say, “No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble. Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal faithfully are His delight. A prudent man conceals knowledge, but the heart of fools proclaim folly.”

Three truths are presented here. The first truth indicates that believing in God and living by His guidance will provide protection for such an individual. This protection is both physical and spiritual. Whereas, those who do not believe in God or follow God’s guidance will have much trouble in their lives. Nothing will go smoothly for these individuals. Nor will they be able to truly enjoy any apparent successes they may have. Misery will follow them.

The second truth indicates that God hates lying. Those who regularly lie to others for personal gain or advantage are an abomination to God. However, God delights in those who are truthful and live by Faith in His Word.

The third truth indicates that a prudent person does not try to impress others with his or her knowledge. They do not brag. Rather, they use their knowledge to make good decisions to live rightly before God. On the other hand, a fool will try to impress others with what little they think they know. However, because they are foolish, they do not have knowledge that is useful to themselves or others.
