This Proverb says, “With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. When it goes well with the righteous, the city rejoices and when the wicked perish there is joyful shouting. By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down.”
A city or a country is stabilized when righteous people are leading it. However, it is destabilized when the wicked people rule. America was once governed by the righteous people. It prospered and grew strong, and God’s blessings were evident. America was characterized by justice and righteousness. It was a beacon of light to the world.
Unfortunately, that has changed over the years. America has turned away from God. It is no longer characterized by justice and righteousness. Laws are passed that are contrary to God’s Word. The justice system is no longer just. Rather, it is biased and politicized. One could rightly say that the wicked people are in charge, and America is being destroyed from within.
The Bible says that this terrible trend will continue. It will increase and be devastating for the people, especially those who believe in God and live their lives by God’s Word.
This evil trend will increase until Jesus returns to the Earth. The Bible says that Jesus will return and destroy the wicked and remove the evil. He will become King and establish justice and righteousness in the world. Indeed, there is great hope for the future.
