This Proverb says, “The righteous is delivered from trouble, but the wicked takes his place.” A righteous person believes and trusts God for help and guidance. When trials come to a righteous person he or she calls out to God for help through the trials. This person also believes the Word of God to be true, and they are able to recall Bible passages that strengthen them and give them hope.

Here is a passage that is very helpful. “Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” When a person has real Faith in God, God will always help them out of trouble.

A wicked person, on the other hand, does not believe in or trust in God. They reject the Word of God. Therefore, God will not help such a person out of trouble. Ironically, God is giving the wicked person what they desire: to be separate from God and not be bothered with His Word.

Unfortunately, when the wicked person dies, they will also get what they desire. They will be separated from God for all eternity. They will go to Hell where they will always be in trouble.  A righteous person will also get what they desire. They will be with God in Heaven for all eternity where they will be delivered from trouble.
