This Proverb says, “Where there is no guidance, the people fall, but in abundance of counselors, there is victory.” During our lives here on Earth we will have to make many decisions. Most decisions will be easy to make. However, some decisions will be more challenging. Some decisions will have more significant consequences.
As this Proverb indicates, we will have more successful outcomes with our decisions if we seek the advice of others: family, friends, associates. However, not all advice is good or sound. How then can we distinguish between good and bad advice?
Good advice is advice that conforms with what the Word of God, the Bible, teaches. Bad advice is contrary to the Word of God. Following good advice will lead to good results. Whereas, following bad advice will lead to bad results. Therefore, we must be well anchored in the Bible in order to determine if the advice we receive is good or bad.
