This Proverb says, “The Lord will not allow the righteous to hunger, but He will thrust aside the craving of the wicked. Poor is he who works with a negligent hand, but the House of the diligent makes rich.”
The Bible says that the Lord will bless those who are righteous. They live their lives being guided by God’s Word, and God blesses them with food, shelter, and many things that will make their lives pleasant. God will not allow them to starve. He will always provide for them.
However, God will not fulfill the desires of those who are wicked. The wicked desire or crave for sinful things, and God will not fulfill their desires. If their desires are fulfilled, they are fulfilled by Satan. Satan will help those who are wicked to their final destination, which is Hell.
The second part of the Proverb indicates the blessings of being diligent rather than negligent. Those who are diligent are walking rightly before God, and He blesses them. The Bible says, “Whatever you do, do it as unto the Lord.”
Those who live by God’s Word are told to give their best effort for the tasks set before them. They are to do their tasks well and are to complete them. Doing sloppy work or delaying tasks that need to be done is being negligent. Being negligent will not result in God’s blessings. Therefore we should do our tasks a in a timely matter and do them well. That is the right way to live our lives, and it will result in a successful life.
