In this daily Bible reading Jesus descends from the Mount of Olives and enters Jerusalem while being praised by His disciples. His disciples realized who Jesus was and said appropriately, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord.”
His disciples recognize Jesus as King, but Jerusalem and its religious leaders did not. They rejected Jesus and murdered Him. Jerusalem and all of Israel have been severely punished for this.
Jesus will come again, and I believe it will be soon. Jesus will be universally recognized as the ‘King of Kings’. His next entry into Jerusalem will not be quiet or uneventful. It will be a glorious entry which the entire world will witness.
