In this daily Bible reading Jesus tells the Jews: “Unless you believe that I am He, you shall die in your sins.” Jesus was telling them plainly that He is the Messiah sent from God to save the people from going to Hell. However, they were skeptical. Most did not believe Him.
Jesus told the people that God the Father guided Jesus in all that He told the people. As Jesus spoke, some did come to believe in Him. So, it is today. Some believe, but many do not.
Focusing on the world and worldly pleasures keeps many people away from Jesus. Their hearts are not prepared to believe in Him. Also, focusing on religious rules keeps many away from Jesus. I believe that only the Word of God, the Bible, will bring people to Jesus.
