In this daily Bible reading Jesus spoke the words, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day.” It is a mystery to me, but one cannot believe in Jesus unless and until God enables them to do so.
I believe that God motivates certain people to believe in Jesus. These are those who fear God and acknowledge Him. They know that God created everything, and they are not drawn to falsehoods such as evolution. They also have a humble heart.
The Bible says that God has elected some to be saved from Hell. He did this before they were even born. The Bible also says that no one knows who are of God’s elect. We must live our lives in accordance with the Word of God and hope that we are of His elect. The Bible says, “Many are called but few are chosen.”
