In this daily Bible reading the writer speaks to those who believe in Jesus Christ but then turn away from their belief. This is a very serious situation. The Bible says: “For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit and have tasted the good Word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.” This passage clearly tells us that once we believe in Jesus Christ we must continue and grow in that belief until we die.

Salvation is not based on a one-time profession of faith, no matter how genuine that profession may be. Salvation is the end of a journey through this life. It is not an easy journey.  There will be many situations placed before us to test our Faith. However, our Faith must be genuine; and it must endure.

The Bible says that ‘those who endure to the end will be saved.’ The Bible also says that ‘it is difficult to be saved.’ The pathway to Salvation is a narrow path. It is exclusively through Jesus Christ. He is the only way to Salvation according to the Bible.

There are many religions in the world. The world will try to make you believe that all religions will lead you to God. This is not true. Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through Me.” Jesus said it. I believe it.
