In this daily Bible reading Paul says of Jesus, ”Christ was faithful as a Son over His house whose house we are if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.” He also says, “For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end.”
Our salvation is conditional on our continued belief in Jesus Christ. We cannot believe for a period and be guaranteed that we will go to Heaven. Rather, we must be active believers, true believers when we die. The Bible says that we must ‘endure to the end to be saved.’ Salvation is therefore the end of a journey. During this journey, God will test us to see if our belief or Faith in Jesus is genuine.
The Bible says that Satan rules this world spiritually. He has many angels that follow him. The Bible calls these angels demons. They work for Satan, who directs them to influence human beings to turn away from God. Satan uses many means to accomplish this. He uses media, TV, movies, governments, and other people to deceive those who would believe in Jesus.
The Bible says that Satan is the embodiment of lies. The Word of God is the Truth. The Bible is the Word of God. Our only defense against Satan’s deceptions and lies is the Bible. We must read it daily to have any hope to survive our spiritual journey and make it into Heaven.
