In this daily Bible reading Paul continues to speak to the Galatian church about there being no need to add to the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Paul indicated that living according to the law of Moses, which required circumcision, was living according to the flesh. Belief in Jesus Christ was living according to the Spirit. Paul said, “The life which I now live in the flesh I live by Faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.”
The essential thing is our Faith in Jesus Christ, which manifests itself in how we live our lives. If our motivation originates from our belief and Faith in Jesus Christ, then we are living rightly. However, if we are just mechanically following rules and regulations in religion, then we are living wrongly. The foundation of our lives must therefore be Faith in Jesus Christ.
The Bible says, “Without Faith it is impossible to please God.” The Bible also says that ‘the righteous person shall live by Faith.’ God places great value in our Faith in Jesus Christ and our Faith in God. Our demonstrated Faith is essential to our Salvation.
