In this daily Bible reading Paul tells the Ephesian church that God’s redemption plan for mankind through Jesus was a secret or mystery for ages. This mystery was revealed through the Church. It was not only revealed to mankind, it was also revealed to angels.
I believe that angels are all around us today. They watch us. They influence us, and they protect us from time to time. However, there are some angels who try to lead us away from God.
The Bible says that Satan, an extremely powerful angel, rebelled against God. One-third of all angels followed Satan in his rebellion. However, God defeated Satan and his angels. God then sent Satan and his angels to the Earth.
Satan and his angels are actively trying to influence mankind to not believe in God. They are a powerful force in this endeavor and have had a large degree of success.
The only way one can resist Satan’s efforts is to believe in Jesus Christ. The Bible says that Jesus is the Word of God. So, we can resist Satan by reading God’s Word, the Bible, and living our lives accordingly. It is our only hope.
