In this daily Bible reading is the account of Paul continuing to spread the Word of God, preaching in Ephesus. He was also revisiting churches that he had established, strengthening the believers to continue in the Faith.

Also in these passages is the account of a Jew named Apollos from Alexandria appearing on the scene in Ephesus. He was ‘extremely knowledgeable in the Scriptures and was accurately speaking and teaching the things concerning Jesus.’ Although, he was ‘not in complete understanding of the Way of God.’

Priscilla and Aquilla, two of Paul’s converts, ‘took Apollos aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.’ This tells me that we do need other believers to help us along the way. No one person can be all-knowing about the Word of God. There are some things that escape our understanding and knowledge. Other believers can ‘fill in the gaps’ as God so directs them.
