In these passages is the account of Paul preaching to the Jews in the synagogue on the Sabbath day in Antioch. Paul reminded the Jews of God’s fulfilled promises in bringing Israel to the land of Canaan. Paul also explained that Jesus’s death was prophesied, and Paul identified the passages that spoke to this event.
The Jews believed the ‘Law and the Prophets’ or Old Testament to be true. They just didn’t perceive that Jesus was the fulfillment of the prophecies which were in the ‘Law and the Prophets.’ It took Paul’s extensive knowledge of the Bible to put together the pieces for them. Those whose ‘eyes were opened’ then believed in Jesus, that He was the Christ and the promised Messiah.
So, it is today. Many are blinded to the Truths in God’s Word, the Bible. They need a guide to clarify these Truths. Some will believe. Many will not. I pray that God will bless this website that it may illuminate God’s Truths and lead others to believe.
